How we handle your data and protect your privacy

1. Data Protection Overview

This privacy policy is provided by Henning Witzel-Açikgöz, Bötzowstraße 86, 10407 Berlin, Germany (see Imprint for full legal details). By using Intura, you also agree to our Terms of Use.

Intura is designed with privacy as a core principle. By default, your reflections are stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud database. When you use optional cloud-based AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes), your reflections may be temporarily processed on our servers and by our AI providers solely to generate your summaries. We do not use this content to train our own models and we do not store it longer than necessary to provide the service.

2. Data Collection

Intura iOS/macOS App

  • Reflections you write: Text you enter in the app (what mattered, people, what was on your mind)
  • Optional AI-powered feature requests: Reflection entries and context needed to generate AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes) when you request them

We do not collect your name, email address, or contact details through the app itself, unless you explicitly provide them for support.

Website

  • Technical and usage data: Page views, browser type, approximate location in anonymized or aggregated form
  • Form submissions: Data you provide in forms, such as email address, role, and team size for early access

Early Access Sign-up

If you sign up for early access, we collect your email address and optional information about your role and team size. This information is used solely to manage early access invitations and improve the product. We do not sell this information and do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use a form provider (currently Tally.so) to securely collect and manage these submissions on our behalf.

3. AI Processing

Intura uses AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes) through Intura Cloud, our premium service:

Intura Cloud: When you enable AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes), your reflection entries are sent to our servers (hosted by our infrastructure provider) and to our AI model provider via Vercel AI Gateway. This processing is necessary to generate your summaries. We do not use this content for any other purpose and do not store it longer than necessary to provide the service.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (stored locally on your device)
  • Delete your data at any time (through the app or by deleting your iCloud data)
  • Request deletion of any information we may have collected (email us at support@intura.app)
  • Opt out of early access communications at any time

6. Service Providers and Third Parties

We use trusted service providers to help us operate Intura. These providers process your data on our behalf and only as instructed by us:

  • Apple (iCloud): Stores your reflections in your private iCloud account. Apple's processing is governed by your agreement with Apple.
  • Infrastructure & AI providers (e.g., Vercel, Vercel AI Gateway, Anthropic/OpenAI): Process your reflection entries and prompts when you request AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes).
  • Form provider (Tally.so): Hosts our early access signup form and processes the information you submit (such as your email address and role) on our behalf.
  • Meta (Facebook Pixel): Collects anonymized usage data on our website for advertising and conversion tracking purposes.
  • PostHog: Collects anonymized usage and analytics data about our website and app to help us understand and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with these service providers to operate and improve Intura.

7. Data Retention

  • Reflections in the app: Stored on your device and in iCloud until you delete them or uninstall the app.
  • AI-powered feature requests: Processed transiently to generate your AI-powered features (including weekly summaries, monthly summaries, coaching conversations, and coach notes) and not stored longer than necessary to provide the result (except for short-lived logs required to secure and operate the service).
  • Early access / email data: Stored until you unsubscribe or we no longer need it to provide updates or manage early access.
  • Analytics data: Stored in aggregated or anonymized form for as long as needed to analyze and improve our website.

8. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, secure infrastructure providers, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

Intura is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@intura.app and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
